雖說十五的玉輪十六圓，但本年的中秋卻是“十五的玉輪十五圓”。你和家人伙伴一同賞月了嗎？

賞月是東邊文明里特有的習俗，由于玉輪代表永久。但在東方文明中，玉輪卻是多變的。英語中有個短語as changeable as the moon，形貌像玉輪一樣多變。

在《羅密歐與朱麗葉》中，莎士比亞就如此寫玉輪的多變：

Romeo: Lady, I swear by the blessed moon, that tips all theses fruit-tree tops with silver-

羅密歐：小姐，憑著這一輪潔白的玉輪，它的銀光涂染著這些果樹的梢端，我發誓——

Juliet: Oh, don't swear by the moon, that inconstant moon, that changes every month in her orbit, in case you love should prove equally unreliable.

朱麗葉：?。〔灰钢褫喥鹗?，它是厘革無常的，每個月都有盈虧圓缺；你要是指著它起誓，約莫你的戀愛也會像它一樣無常。

可見，東東方關于玉輪的了解和賦予其的涵義好壞常不同的。

而英語中，和moon有關的短語也有著不同的涵義，并且常常帶有悲觀的一面。

ask/ cry for the moon

抱負取得無法取得的東西；想做做不到的事。

to ask for something that is difficult or impossible to get or achieve

例句：

Wanting a decent job and a home is hardly asking for the moon.

想要一份體面的事情和一個家并不是什么奢望。

bark at the moon

“向著玉輪嚎叫”，引申為“空喊；白搭地喧華”。相似的表達另有bay at the moon，意為“費力做沒有代價的事，白搭”。

而玉輪對此也有回應：

The moon does not heed the barking of dogs. (=Does the moon care for the barking of a dog?）

即“玉輪不理狗的狂吠”，引申為“對無稽責難置之不理”。

因此在平常生存中，人們用blue moon來形貌“稀有、不常產生的事變”。once in a blue moon可譯為“千載一時”。
